Launched in 2017, FGP Lufton assumed manufacturing responsibility for the products and processes formerly carried out by Honeywell. FGP Lufton capabilities include machining, bench fitting, special processing, CNC Milling, Turning, Grinding and heat treatment.
The business has grown rapidly, resulting in IMS being awarded a 3 year maintenance contract for the FGP Lufton site in Yeovil. Two IMS service technicians are now permanently on site to ensure production machinery and equipment are maintained in order to keep the production processes running smoothly.
What does the contract cover?
Overseen by the IMS contract management team, the maintenance contract covers:
Responding to reactive works – Providing a timely resolution by attending all machinery breakdowns.
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) – Reviewing any existing Planned Maintenance Regimes (PMR’s) and where required produce new ones. These will in turn be kept up to date throughout the life of the contract.
Minor works – Including alterations to equipment, infrastructure and systems on site.
Deployment of CMMS – Computerised Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). This system allows asset data to be recorded and all reactive and planned works to be managed.
